Talk Therapy with Adolescents
Teenagers experience many changes and challenges in their lives. Some teenagers come to therapy to work on minor issues, while others are experiencing much more serious problems that they need help with. At this age, teenagers begin the process of forming their own identities and understanding how these identities will shape their future. They begin to realize that they have more power and control over their lives, while simultaneously learning that they have to deal with the consequences of their decisions. Often, this can be a trying time for parents, as their adolescent moves from being a child to an adult.
